On the afternoon of June 30, Academician Li Dehong, a member of the Singapore Academy of Engineering and Qiushi Chair Professor of Zhejiang University, led his research team to visit Zhejiang SkyGrid Technology Co., Ltd. As a top-tier talent recruited under Zhejiang Province’s key "Kunpeng Action" Program, Academician Li enjoys a prominent international reputation in the fields of transportation engineering and logistics systems. The two sides held in-depth discussions on the low-altitude economy, UAV logistics and air-ground integrated multimodal logistics solutions, reached a research cooperation intention, and will jointly open up new development paths for intelligent logistics.

During the visit, Academician Lee and his entourage toured SkyGrid Cloud management system, intelligent low-altitude logistics delivery equipment, and unmanned logistics delivery test site, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the company’s overall strengths in product R&D, core technology breakthroughs, and pilot operations of low-altitude logistics delivery. They also held in-depth discussions on practical experience in the commercial rollout, scenario innovation, and technological tackling of unmanned delivery. Academician Lee spoke highly of SkyGrid’s achievements and forward-looking innovative layout in the low-altitude logistics sector.

As a national strategic emerging industry, the low-altitude economy is driving three-dimensional multimodal transport to become a core breakthrough for the transformation and upgrading of the logistics industry. This research cooperation between the SkyGrid team and the Zhejiang University team led by Academician Lee has established a two-way empowerment mechanism between top academic research forces and tech-innovative enterprises: academic theories drive the iterative upgrading of product technologies, while real industrial scenarios validate the practical value of research outcomes.

Going forward, the two sides will jointly advance the implementation of industry-university-research-application projects and the high-quality development of the intelligent logistics industry. The collaboration will move low-altitude logistics from fragmented, siloed pilot exploration to a systematic development phase — where central state-owned enterprises build the foundational infrastructure and cities roll out application scenarios. It will also support Taizhou in building a comprehensive low-altitude logistics industrial demonstration zone, and open a new chapter of air-ground coordination and intelligent multimodal transport.
