Nation’s First! SkyGrid Launches Fully Automated Air-Ground Integrated Last-Mile Logistics Delivery in Jinan

    SkyGrid’s ERob robotic transfer cabinet has officially been put into operation in Jinan Central Business District (CBD), rolling out the nation’s first commercially operated fully automated last-mile logistics delivery scenario featuring "UAVs + delivery robots" to support the upgrade of SF Express’s unmanned delivery system.

    Centered on air-ground collaboration technology, the project connects the full chain of "UAV air transport – transfer cabinet exchange node – delivery robot last-mile delivery", realizing unmanned logistics delivery from airborne parcel drop-off to in-building handover. UAVs deliver parcels precisely to intelligent transfer cabinets via exclusive low-altitude routes. The transfer cabinets are linked in real time with the urban low-altitude intelligent connectivity network through 5G IoT, and automatically dispatch last-mile delivery robots to complete the last 100-meter delivery. This accurately addresses delivery pain points in the high-density core business district of Jinan CBD, and effectively solves problems such as restricted parcel access to office buildings, long pickup distances and extended delivery timelines.

    Equipped with intelligent path planning and autonomous obstacle avoidance capabilities, the delivery robots can independently formulate optimal delivery routes, flexibly avoid pedestrians, and accurately deliver goods to designated offices or pickup points, forming a full-time, automated and full-coverage closed logistics delivery loop.

    The implementation of the Jinan project marks another benchmark practice of SkyGrid in low-altitude logistics delivery scenarios.
